Architect-Led Design/Build puts the Owner in control. When you choose Tectonic for your architecture and construction services, we are your single point of responsibility. By having a general contractor on the team during the design phases, the team is able to review construction details with various trades and get input and pricing information before the drawings are complete. This means you have more control over the final product and the final budget, with fewer costly surprises after the project is bid. Crucially, this saves you time, since design and construction are able to run parallel on several phases of the project.

Architect-Led Design/Build puts the Owner in control. When you choose Tectonic for your architect-Led Design/Build is where the Architect and General Contractor are a single entity. This entity enters into a single contract with an owner to provide design and construction services. In the traditional Design-Bid-Build system, the owner has a contract with an Architect and a contract with a General Contractor. By using the Design/Build method, the General Contractor is able to provide valuable construction-based input, budgeting and scheduling services and is able to facilitate subcontractor input throughout the design process. This allows for a carefully coordinated project with reliable pricing information built in from the beginning of the project. They key to Design/Build is making the shift to think and act as a single entity for the duration of the project.
